September Dividend Income

September is a good month for my portfolio as I had 14 stocks that paid me dividends. Below is the table which shows I earned $99.43 last month and reinvested most of that into the same company. This increases my forward annual earnings by $2.54. Now, that is not a lot of money, but it does add up and this is essentially free partial shares of the companies.

Dividends - Amount I was paid from the stock
Annual Dividend - Amount that the stock pays annually for each share that is owned
Shares Purchased - Amount of shares I reinvested based on the dividends I received
Added Annual Dividends - Amount of additional annual dividends I plan to receive based on the additional shares.

    Adam,

    Nice work, bud!

    $100 for essentially doing nothing. Better yet, you know that $100 will one day turn into $200, then $300, etc. :)

    Keep it up. Great companies up there. Glad to be a fellow shareholder in almost all of them.

    Those are some solid names in the dividend world for sure. How come you don't drip Compass Minerals and the other three ?

      Hey Captain! Those stocks are in my Traditional IRA which is with Scottrade. Scottrade has their FRIP which allows free reinvesting of dividends, but no partial shares. So I need to wait for that money to build up to buy something with it. That account also holds my WPC shares, so I am sure to make a purchase every quarter with the FRIP. Thanks for asking!

    Look at what matter - cash flow i.e. dividend. This is the number that you'll get now to reinvest and keep plowing upward.

    Nice job with your income this month! Pretty cool to see a few percent added in dividend income based on reinvestment alone. All about the compounding effect of doing it early and now. Congrats and great work!

    Great job pulling in almost $100 for the month! And you didn't have to work any bit extra to get it which is awesome! Even better is you should receive at least $100 every 3 months from here on out and most likely that $100 will grow on its own even if you don't invest another dime.
