Summary of Recent Buys - Week of February 8, 2016

My weekly summary of buys from around the blogging community. If you have made purchases this week and do not see them on this list, please let me know and I will add you to my list of sites I monitor for buy posts.

Summary:

Back again after a nice week off in sunny Florida! Glad to be back in looking at all the purchases made around the blogs. $60,497 invested in the market in the past week (including a few sells)!

ADM still going strong as many bloggers still finding value here.

Review again, this chart 57 on stockCharts (see Link). This shows what she calls the "best market timing indicator" and I believe it. Long term, it looks like we are still in sell territory in a big way so I will be cautious to buy over the coming months.

  1. Thanks for the summary Adam. I am digging into Archer Daniel Midlands' books right now. Looks like the limit order for my first slug will come in a shade over $30. I am surprised there wasn't more interest in buying Disney. While I am not interested in holding ADM for the long term, Disney has great potential as a long term holding....for me. I'll dig into that company next. It's been a couple years. I hope you have a great week

    1. Hi Bryan,

I dont own any ADM but I have checked them out. They have solid dividend growth and although I think 2016 will be flat, the following years show growth again. Thanks for stopping in and commenting! Oh and I agree on the DIS call. I love what they have been doing with the dividend over the past few years and look forward to see more growth!

  2. Great round up. I see I had lots of company in the ADM buy. They already increased their dividend in 2016 7.1% which was nice considering the headwinds the company is facing these days.

    1. Thanks DIvHut! Yes you were in good company. I have been eyeing it more closely each day. Looks promising. Thanks for the comment!

  3. I love the charts and graphs Adam. I can only imagine how much time must be spent gathering all the information together and presenting it in such an organized way. I have some shares of ADM as well and think DIS is a great company. I had contemplated picking up some shares, but the dividend yield is just a bit too low for me. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks a lot Christian Investor. I do appreciate the kind words. I have the process to fill this out each week well defined and much of it is now automated but it's still an hour or two each week. If DIS ever decides to pay quarterly, I think it will attract more attention. It has some great growth potential though long term. Thanks for stopping in and leaving a comment!
